Brief de Web Design

I need a new webpage design for my photography blog. My blog focuses on post-processing techniques, particularly in luminosity masking, HDR photography and other advanced photo editing skills. I want the new homepage to let visitors know instantly what the blog is about as this is currently not very obvious from the feedback I received. Apart from that, the homepage should also inform/showcase latest blog post and/or popular blog post and/or some of the training courses I offer (that's my idea, but I leave it to your expertise). There should also ideally have a CTA that leads visitors to the "Start Here" page where they can learn more about my blog. The bulk of my audience is intermediate/advanced photographers who are above 30-35 years old, with a significant group in the 60 to >75 age group. The design should convey trust and creativity at the same time. The color theme for my blog is orange and dark grey. URL is www.fotographee.com, you can use the current content on that page.
