Brief de Design de Logo

Lions Bay Fire Rescue is a 30-member volunteer fire department located in Lions Bay, British Columbia, Canada. LBFR provides structural and wildland fire protection, auto accident rescue, technical rescue, and medical aid to the village of Lions Bay and surrounding communities. https://www.lionsbay.ca/services/fire-rescue

We are looking for a new design for our fire department crest, which is currently used on shoulder patches on uniforms and jackets, and will possibly be also on fire apparatus and elsewhere. Our current crest is very generic and does not represent our department in any way. Lions Bay is a small community located on Howe Sound between Vancouver and Squamish. Key features of the area are the ocean, the mountains, and Highway 99 which connects Vancouver and Whistler.

We are open to designs that incorporate traditional fire department crest elements (tools, hydrants, caduceus, etc) along with locally-meaningful elements such as those described above. Google Lions Bay to get a sense for the area. Shoulder patches are an important descriptor of the character of a fire department and a source of pride. Firefighters often trade shoulder patches on visits to firehalls in other cities.

We are open to traditional and non-traditional designs, but the design has to be embroiderable and should be roughly crest-shaped and sized - i.e. appropriate for a shoulder patch. "Lions Bay Fire Rescue" must be on the design. We are also open to incorporating a short slogan into the design, such as "Sea to Sky" - the nickname of Hwy 99 and the area.

We have uploaded a photo of our current patch (which we have no attachment to) and some examples of other fire departments' patches to show how varied and distinctive they can be (the examples are not necessarily what we're after) .
