Brief de Design de Logo
The logo is for a project which is a website and podcast about police wrongdoing (e.g. corruption, misconduct, crime), police accountability and transparency and police reform. The project is about "modern" policing. However please note, it is a historical project and in this sense "modern" means policing from 1800 - 2019. A font or style of logo which is reflective of a period of time prior to 1800 would not be appropriate, the look should be 19th, 20th or 21st century.
"Guarding the Guards" is a play on the Latin phrase "Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?" and is often translated as "Who will guard the guards themselves?" or "Who watches the watchers?" or "Who will watch the watchmen?". It dates back to Roman Times but is now most usually used to refer to the problem of controlling the actions of persons in positions of power.
I am thinking of using this web template but not yet totally decided upon it: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_old_fashioned/
I generally like plain, clean, simple, design, mostly text, nothing fancy.
Update: Some of the initial designs we got have got, I feel they are of a very good standard and would suit a 21st century business well. But I would like to remind that this is a non-commercial history project, so a very up to date and commercial look isn't quite right. Also I think icons are probably not necessary. Thanks
Update 2: On reflection, because the expression "Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?" dates back the Roman Empire, we would consider designs that utilise old Latin / Roman type fonts and looks / styles. Thanks
