Brief de Design de Logo
We have two Logos, This is the biggest of the two and will be the one on T-Shirts, Banners etc. It is the one to inspire our first responders, military and their families to fight and tame the "dragon" of disability. Our name is The Hounds of Nuada. Nuada was a Celtic god (our whole family is Scottish, Welsh and Irish) who was a mighty warrior and next in line to be king. He had a mighty sword that would cleave his opponent in two with one strike. During a battle his hand was cut off. This injury was tragic, not only in loosing a limb but it also lost him his right to be a king. His brother, feeling the heartache of Nuada and longing for his brother to be the rightful King, he fashioned his brother a prosthetic hand, making him invincible and again to be eligible to be the king. He never again was defeated, except at the end of his rule, by the god of death. Attached is my rough drawing of what we want. Nuada, being Celtic should be in a kilt, with a strong service dog (dog of war, breed doesn't matter much but should be strong and big) on his left side wearing the service dog vest. They should be fearlessly facing down the "dragon of disability". Ready to tame it because you can never conquer, kill, or overcome disability; only tame it, to where you can work with and around it. We want to somehow have the dragon marked so that people know it is disability, perhaps in its scales, or tale? We thought perhaps Nuada and his dog could cast a light shadow of a celtic warrior on a horse raring to battle the dragon?perhaps that would be too busy. To enclose the picture proper Celtic knots representing either brotherhood, dogs of war, warriors, etc.... I am a disabled vet who is now training my service dog ( a mobility & PTSD dog) after a fall from a helicopter. I was one of the first women in down pilot rescue and fell two stories causing spinal cord damage and an incurable progressive disease that has lead to 25+ surgeries. After leaving the Air Force I was diagnosed with the the BRCA Gene and had a Bilateral Mastectomy and numerous reconstructions. As a single mother with two children I had to make sure despite these fights, my children would have a future. In four years while working full time, I put myself through my bachelors and masters degrees, giving myself a career and my children a chance at a future I never had. Eleven years ago I met my husband and his amazing family, who taught me about familu, unconditional love, and so many other things. Two years ago, my father-in-law, a firefighter died. It is to this man, this hero, father, grandfather, husband and friend that we are dedicating this business. He taught everyone he came into contact with how to love with all their heart. and our two logos will show his two sides. This one is his strength

There are several reasons I want to extend the deadline. Some reasons are for you, some are for me. For me: The person that is helping me review and post feedback on these designs is out of state. This has increased my workload and not given you as artists the proper review of two completely different perspectives. For you: * The other reviewer has different tastes than me, giving a broader review and fuller feedback to entries * the wide variety of entries had given us a more open mind to our request. We want to give you guys the chance to be creative holding to the following: * must still be Scottish/ Celtic feel * must still have the dog in it either in the Celtic knot or artwork but must be obvious and well done * must still have the military, grown up, strong, inspirational feel. * Nuada must be wearing a kilt. Many artists have submitted him wearing a loin cloth. This is not Celtic or Scottish. If you are looking for Kilt designs, the Black Watch was a military force and you cab use their kilt for inspiration. * some of you have blown us away with detail and beauty and we want to give you more time to complete your project, others seem to be on the right track but need to rework and resubmit * when submitting your art with the dog standing next to Nuada. Please look at my rough sketch or look at pictures of people with mobility dogs and see how they stand together. * the prosthetic hand is VERY important. Many of our clients will have Prosthetics. This are not to be cartoonish. He can hold a sword with his new hand. It is made of silver and it helped him reclaim his right to the thrown. Please..... if you have any questions at all.... ask them. I am happy to answer them. We have another very special art design after this and hope to be picking the artist from this group Respectfully, The Hounds of Nuada
