Out of the Binary is a new LGBTQ+ blog based in the UK and we are currently developing our website and social media pages. Our name is a reference to 'the gender binary' and non-binary genders, and that LGBTQ+ people do not meet the binary 'cis' and 'straight' assumptions. We write articles educating about LGBTQ+ identities, issues, and politics. We also publish opinion pieces by LGBTQ+ people and reviews of LGBTQ+ media. Our aim is to raise awareness and educate about the LGBTQ+ community and build a community to help combat the loneliness felt by many LGBTQ+ people. We want a Logo to be used on the website, on our social media and on business cards.
We want the logo to include the pride flag in some way, e.g. the colour scheme or the have the logo be a deconstructed pride flag. It would be nice to include some symbolism for defiance or strength (e.g. raised fist), but not attached to this idea.
Some design inspiration is included in the attached PDF.
