Design Brief for Planeau Logo Design

Planeau is a technology product catering to the Australian wealth management/financial planning industry.

We are looking for a logo with both text and artwork.

We need to be able to apply the design for this product to a similar sounding word and still maintain a clear, common connection to Planeau. For example: Auteau (for an automation product) or dateau (for a data product) - this is a very important aspect to take into consideration when designing the logo.

What does your organization do?
We plan to revolutionize the Australian wealth management/financial planning industry by leveraging strong domain expertise and a tech-enabled approach; helping transform the delivery experience for advisers and providing effective, yet simplified advice for clients.

Who is your target market?
Financial advisers – usually older males; but the logo should be fresh and bold and incorporate the use of technology to disrupt a somewhat traditional industry – which is our main value proposition.

How does your organisation differ to your competitors?
We will transform financial organizations by taking a holistic view of:
- Design thinking,
- Data-driven strategies and
- Cutting edge technology and partnerships (cloud, AI, high performance computing, rapid-prototyping and partner eco-systems)

We are essentially disrupting the delivery experience for both advisers and clients – for advisers, we are helping drive huge efficiency gains, and helping narrow their focus on what’s most important – providing effective advice for their clients. We are also disrupting the client experience; providing them with more transparency and interaction through this platform – giving them more control over their financial situation.

Direction in terms of graphic design?
We place huge emphasis on UI/UX - it’s an extremely important touchpoint with the visual aspect usually defining the perceived functionality of the product. Also important is that the design for this product will be the foundation for any other products/business lines that we will develop in the future.

What are your goals? To increase sales, increase awareness etc.
Awareness primarily, but given that we’re looking to scale up quickly, sales is something we are looking at as well. Ideally, a combination of both awareness and sales.
