Brief de Design Application
We currently have a technically precise app design (see attached) by the techie back end guys. It needs to be more user-friendly and more warm and human, and could even lean toward being kid-friendly."The Big Share - Tell Your Story” app allows regular people to share their stories about how God changed their lives. So we are asking them to do something a little scary, to be vulnerable, to step out on a limb. Therefore the feel of the app needs to be warm and compassionate, not technical and precise. They have downloaded the app and opened it. We’ve gotten them this far! Now we need to close the sale and from the opening screen provide a warm, loving, caring, non-judgemental experience that helps them complete the process, tell their story, and upload it. Attached are various examples of app designs that get at what we are looking for. But don’t be restricted to those ideas. As a designer, we hope you can catch just the nuance for what we are looking for. We don’t know if the design involves animation or real humans (there are examples of both). Help us, as the designer, to get us to where we want to be. The design really only involves three or four screens. There are several recording/script pages, but they will all be the same. Please also design for us the app icon and what users will see when they search for us in Apps. Ten screenshots attached to provide examples and feel for what we might be looking for. We expect the primary design (and most work) to be Screen 1 (not screen 0). The later screens can just be a derivative of that first design. In fact, our in-house people can take the design of the first screen and go from there.
The screens with the teleprompter lines: we are only looking for a different font or feel for the wording, and possibly recommendations on the buttons below. Not as important as Screen 1 and the basic design of the app. Thanks.
