Brief de Design de Logo

PLEASE NOTE: We have narrowed the submissions to the final two designs. I'd hate for you to spend time doing a new design since we are already close to making a final decision. Thanks!

There are two deliverables for this project. The first is a graphical icon that represents the business. The second is a combination of the icon and the name of the business, Your Biz Grows. Both a vector-based and png format are to be provided.

First is a quick explanation of the Your Biz Grows. Its purpose is to help other small business owners improve their odds of succeeding during the critical first five years. 80% of new small businesses fail during this time, so we provide both marketing materials (Internet and traditional) as well as strategic coaching to improve the odds.

We have two main goals for our customers. The first is to give them the CONFIDENCE that they are increasing their odds of success. The second is showing that we CARE as much about their success as we do in ours. Confidence and caring are the two pillars upon which Your Biz Grows rests, and both the logo and the presentation of the name should impart these two goals.

Depending upon how you think the rest of your submission presents itself, you may optionally use an exclamation point at the end of the business name: Your Biz Grows! We have not yet decided whether the exclamation point will be in the final name of the business, so it could go either way. Please use your experience as a logo designer to decide which you think goes best with your design.

We plan to make use of DesignCrowd for helping our customers, so even if you do not win this particular project, we will be evaluating your work for future projects. Enthusiasm and good communication skills are a big plus!

• The project must have two separate sets of files. One is the graphical logo only. The other is both the icon and the name of the business: Your Biz Grows.
• The project should express both CONFIDENCE and CARING, in whatever manner you feel you can do that creatively.

• If adding an exclamation point to your design helps to express both CONFIDENCE and CARING, feel free to do so: Your Biz Grows!
• I don't know whether this is a good idea or not, so I am leaving this to the experts (you) to decide.
• UPDATE: After reviewing some of the submitted designs, I've decided that simpler icons are better than ornate ones. The icon will probably be used as a favicon, so it needs to look good whether it is as small as a favicon or larger, such as on stationery or advertisements.
