Brief de Web Design

Hi there!

We are building an website for our travel agency that caters to tourists traveling to the Cayman Islands. We provide travel information and take bookings for various tours available here.

We need designs for 8 different web page layouts. You can see the layout specifications in two attached documents. We do not have a need for the coding to be done. This will simply act as a blueprint for our developer to build from.

The important pages are the 'Home Page' 'checkout page' and the ‘Checkout Page’ (Page 1 & 10 in the PDF ‘Website Layout’)

The MOST important page is ‘Tour Search Page’ (page 6)

If you intend on only submitting one page design, please submit a design for page 6. Be aware though, the more of these 3 page designs you submit, the more likely we are to move forward with you!

At this stage, we are simply looking to develop the most aesthetic website design layout possible.

- The website should be colour coordinated with the logo. You can most certainly use other colours if you feel they complement the overall design of the website well.

- Everything must be laid out in an EXTREMELY simple & ‘easy to navigate’ way. The key is simplicity & Functionality. There is no need for messy or elaborate graphics.

- The website MUST have a VERY clean and modern appearance.

- We want the main background to be white, but you can use light grey in places to compliment or add dimension if you feel necessary.

- We will appreciate a good use of shadows and especially a good use of icons. (You can see examples of icons we have already designed, we are definitely open to new icon design concepts too)

- We will reward imagination and original thinking! Essentially we want a website with a creative touch and unique design elements, whilst maintaining that clean and simple layout.

- Most importantly!! - Paying attention to the small details will be highly rewarded (A well balanced and seamless use of fonts, colours, dimensions, shadowing, positioning, etc)
