Brief de Design de Logo

I need a logo for my company. one that has our company name and one that is just the logo to put at the top of forms, business cards and shirts. Currently I have pulled a logo off of the internet that I like, but I need something original that I am not infringing on copy rights. Something stoic, but not to ferocious. It should display a sense of security and not be too cartoonist. I would like the colors to be black and metallic gold
