Brief de Design de Logo

We are a new craft brewery called Brasserie Vortex, and looking for a clean minimalist logo. The design must convey a modern look, extra points if a unique Canadian icon can be included in the design, but not make it the focus of the logo!
We want to convey a modern and cutting edge image, playful yet serious, attractive to both male and female.
We plan on selling the beers in cans, if that can be useful for logo design

Definition of a vortex: In fluid dynamics, a vortex is a region in a fluid in which the flow revolves around an axis line, which may be straight or curved. Vortices form in stirred fluids, and may be observed in smoke rings, whirlpools in the wake of a boat, and the winds surrounding a tropical cyclone, tornado or dust devil.
