Brief de Design de Logo

I need a logo for my new publishing company. We are targeting publishing both fiction and nonfiction with an emphasis on creativity, storytelling and vulnerability. We will also pursue photo journalism publishing. Looking for a whimsical logo that transfers well to a book spine as well as the Title page of the book. Open to any ideas. Can envision (dog) paw prints in the logo. Any color is fine just want to be sure it transitions well to grey tones.
