Brief de Design de Couverture de Livre
Book cover: Mystery book.
In July 1668 the city of Portobello, one of the main ports in Tierra Firme and from which all the treasures of America departed towards Spain, was captured by the corsair Henry Morgan. What none of his men expected was to find in an abandoned hostel the corpse of a Spaniard, tortured with fury. Hidden in the floor, a cup of gold and documents that suggested the existence of a treasure of incalculable value hidden in the depths of Panama City. From that moment on, a handful of pirates led by Morgan himself will do everything possible to capture the most important jewel of the crown in Castilla de Oro: Panama.
Judge Francisco Alonso de Ayala and his scribe, Hernan Asensio, are in charge of investigating what happened during the English occupation of Portobello. An unexpected witness will put them on the trail of the murder of the Spaniard and a sinister plan plagued with crime, betrayal and corruption. Every decision they make, every clue they pursue, will take them one step closer to the truth.
Two sides of the same conflict face each other in a fight to the death. Pirates, judges, friars, prostitutes, ruffians, murderers, slaves and maroons. Puppets in a game where life is worth less than a piece of eight and Panama City will be the final price to pay for solving a murder in Portobello.
