Brief de Design de Logo

Need a logo based abstractly off of the two included images. We like the shadowing on the text and want to keep that but probably clean it up a bit so that it's more legible. We would like to include the image as well but want to make it abstract somehow. The image is our logo for one of our other companies so we want use it to show continuity between that one and this new company but we are thinking it needs some modification so they aren't exactly the same. hopefully that makes sense??
