Brief de Design de Logo

We need a logo design for a brewing company based in New Zealand called “Submarino”. Our goal is to create unique beers which allow the drinkers to have a different cultural experience. With culture we refer to the term in its broadest sense that includes art but also language, customs, clothing, food, etc. Each beer will be inspired by a cultural aspect from a different part of the world.

We want to offer an experience that does not end when the beer is finished. We want to spark in the consumer the interest to know more about what inspired the beer, why we used this ingredient, where does it come from? A sort of ‘travelling with the palate’.

What does the Submarine represent? The inspiration comes from Jules Verne’s book (20,000 leagues of submarine travel). The submarine is the vehicle that allows us to explore the ocean, a world with plenty to discover. In our case the ocean to explore are cultures around the world and beer is the submarine for it.

"Submarino" is the spanish/portuguese for Submarine. We are from Argentina/Brazil so we want to express a part of our own culture in the name.

Our target is people who like to try different and interesting beers and can afford to pay a for a premium quality product. Primarily 25-65 year old people.

Exigences

Doit avoir

• - simple (need to work with different labels/backgrounds/colours)
• - something that resembles exploration/new world/ideas
• - we would like to include an 'eye' in the logo. The 'eye' is the connector with the submarino so there is no need to have a submarino shape in the logo
• - we want to also use the 'eye' by itself as a logo, so it is important that the 'eye' has a nice design
• - we would like a similar font/style as the example provided in the project brief (see logo example attached) The logo attached is pretty close to what we are looking for)

• -Avoid something too obvious like a submarine shape (we prefer a subtle connection)
• -Avoid designs that include beer and beer related products like hops, bottles, cans, barrels etc.
