Brief de Design de Logo
We need a logo design for a brand of automotive aftermarket accessories called Darkhorse DIY. The product line will be primarily off-road products for Jeeps and Full-sized trucks. Darkhorse DIY products are unique in that they are designed for DIYers that own their own welders, but have little general experience in fabrication. The finished product is as good as any off the shelf, and bears an illuminated laser-cut of the logo/mark.
We want to relate a strong, badass, rugged, yet smart, modern, and innovative feel. Our target audience is DIY jeep and truck guys and backyard hobbyists/gearheads. The brand darkhorse is intended to be literal in that we are arriving in a saturated market, but with our differentiator we will come out of nowhere and win market share.
Products being typically black, we expect a black or dark look and feel. The design ideally can be well translated to laser cutouts in the products themselves to aid in branding, so it must be simple enough to transfer well, and be cool enough for our customers to want to have it on their rigs. Project Deadline Extended
Reason: We have gotten a huge number of responses, and have some very good directions going with the designers that submitted the best work so far. We have not yet reached the winner, and submissions keep rolling in, so we are extending the deadline another 10 days. The top designers all share some things in common: They read the brief, they understood what we're after, and they are both talented and at or above market standards in technique and execution. We hope that the top designers will continue to work with us to get their best work so we can award them the winner.

- More of a arcs/angles feel than attached, what would a plate metal horse look like? A stealth fighter horse?
- Maybe from head on, like ironhorse(see files) what would you see as you turn and see the darkhorse running you down?
