I just started a new child/adolescent anxiety research lab at the University of Denver's Psychology Department. To learn about the lab, visit: https://www.du.edu/ahss/psychology/brave-lab/index.html. I'd like a logo that includes the lab acronym (BRAVE), the full lab name (Behavioral Research for Anxiety InterVention Efficiency) at the bottom (which can be removed when the logo is on "swag" items), and something that will look professional but also appeal to parents and their youth ages 5 to 17. The logo should look clean/sleek enough to go on professional letterhead, and also interesting enough that it might go on prizes for kids like t-shirts, mugs, etc. The final design should include some sort of image that reflects bravery or courage (doing things even when we're scared or unsure about them). I'd like a design that would look good in both black and white, but also color. Colors and design should not be too childish, as we want to appeal to youth of all ages and their parents. Some ideas for logos might be kids and teens standing on a mountain holding hands or with arms raised cheering, a friendly (but not childish) looking lion, or the outline of kids and teens standing together...but I am not tied to these specific ideas and am open to any ideas that reflect the idea that we're working with brave kids and teens.
