Brief de Design de Couverture de Livre

I need cover designs for three e-books that will shortly be published on Kindle. All three are about mediation - the use of independent third parties to help people manage conflict and resolve disputes in different contexts. Two of these books have already been published in hardback and are now being re-issued as e-books. The third is new. I need a cover theme that is similar but slightly different for each book, and will also work for future books on the same subject. The three titles are: 'A Sudden Outbreak of Common Sense: Managing Conflict through Mediation'; 'Resolving Disputes Without Going to Court'; and 'Mediators'. The image I have in mind for each is of a gender-neutral figure juggling different objects: for 'Sudden Outbreak' the objects are progressively brighter lightbulbs; for 'Resolving Disputes' the objects are lawyers' wigs; for 'Mediators' the objects being juggled are symbols representing differences of money, values, religion, star signs. These covers must be in the correct format for Kindle, work as thumbnails on the Amazon website, and work as full-size book covers in both colour and shades of grey for Kindles. I am uploading some rough sketches to illustrate the sort of covers I am looking for: it may be that all you need to do is to make these more professional and ready to use.

These books are aimed at professional mediators and at those who are interested in the field of conflict resolution. The third, 'Mediators', is a documentary novel - i.e. a serious book written in novel format - so you might want to try to convey this in some way. Maybe it should even have 'A Documentary Novel' as a subtitle?

• It would be nice if the covers were friendly, welcoming and suggest that the books are readable and accessible. The use of the juggler image is design to give an impression of humour and lightheartedness - but not frivolity.

• The books need to look solid and serious without being turgid or boring.
