Brief de Design de Logo

A little background: I am an aspiring freelance web designer specializing in content management systems. However, I am not so great graphic design outside of that space. I have partnered with a friend who provides services to the local Amish community (primarily transportation). In his time with the Amish, he noted that they are very savvy business people but are constrained by a lack of internet presence. With his Amish community knowledge and contacts, and my ability to design websites that can be updated by pretty much anyone, we saw the opportunity. We are just getting started but things are going well so far with a few sites already under our belt.

Our company name is Plain English Web Solutions. The company name is a bit of a play on word since the Amish people refer to themselves as "Plain" folk and to the non-Amish as "English". We need a logo that is not overly flashy or technical and projects a reliable, honest, straightforward business. From an icon perspective, anything that would convey a sense of translation may work since we essentially work as an intermediary between the Amish and the technology they cannot employ themselves. The target audience places a high value on faith, family, and work ethic. We have no specific color requirements other than it should not be overly bold or flashy. For lack of a better term, we are looking for something with "elegant simplicity".
