Brief de Design de Logo

I need a logo for my dog training business. I'd like it to have somewhat of a cartoon feel and to incorporate the use of planet Earth. I want my logo to have a fun feel but not so silly that it isn't taken seriously. The use of bright colors would be appreciated. Eventually it will need to translate beyond just business cards and a website into items such as tennis balls, clickers (used in dog training), t-shirts, etc. I like the idea of a Daily Planet sort of feel but am open to other ideas. My business will initially cater to basic obedience and problem solving with both new dog owners and established owners looking to retrain but the website will include all aspects of dog life such as food updates, training tips, recommended dog sitters, etc.
