Brief de Design de Logo

Need a logo design for a new research centre investigating the evolution of human brain disorders and pathogens using ancient DNA obtained from human remains (skeletons) from over the past 10,000 years. The centre will be called the BraiDE Centre (Brain, Disease, & Evolution) to reflect our multi-disciplinary approach that weaves (braids) three main fields together: DNA evolution/selection, brain diseases/disorders, and pathogens/epidemics.

The centre's output will be scientific publications on human migration patterns across Eurasia, and address diverse related topics such as language spread, lifestyle changes, animal domestication, urbanization, technology adoption, etc. Additional centre deliverables include a substantial effort on public outreach and engagement (documentaries, interviews, seminars, other 'happenings') and annual scientific workshops & conferences. A key concept for our centre is Scientific Social Responsibility (DOI.org/10.1002/anie.201105641)

The logo should be suitable for use on websites, scientific meeting posters as well as event advertising posters, smaller signs, our letterhead, coffee mugs, etc. No colour restrictions or preferences, but the logo should be clear and vivid on a white background. If it is also clear and vivid on a dark blue, maroon, or black background, all the better.

The logo should communicate the multi- or cross-disciplinary nature of the centre, the excitement of discovering knowledge, and the open availability and relevance of this new knowledge to society.
