what do you mean when saying "4 different designs using the mascot"?

I want an couple different options, once I have picked a main mascot, I will want him amended in different positions, like laying in a hammock passed out, chilling on a pirate ship and a couple other ideas.

the person who has the best logo, will contract to do several logos in the future and yes pay additional for each logo provided, but I must like their 1st draft
