Brief de Design de Logo
Dear Designers,
Thanks for your submissions, and for your time spent on this. Unfortunately none of the designs so far are quite what I'm looking for, though 2 or 3 may be on the right track. I should have been clearer about our needs, and relayed that better to Michael. So let's go over what they are.
What's wrong with our current logo?
First, I have no files to work with that I can blow up, shrink down, change color of, etc. All I have is a scan of our Bicycle Friendly decal, and a tiny graphic pulled from our old website. I've tried to clean these up and convert them to vector graphics, without much success.
Second, I am not concerned that it looks dated. As far as that goes, it's a simple, classic design that communicates well what we're about. It would be OK on letterhead, or embroidered on a shirt - fine for the age of print. But it's too fine-lined and fussy to be instantly and clearly recognizable at very small or large sizes - for social media icons, bumper stickers, event banners, etc. Without already "knowing" it, could you pick it out of a busy Twitter feed? On TV at an event, on a t-shirt in the crowd, or a banner in the background? And all this without lettering of any kind. That's what we need.
So I'm extending the deadline through the end of the month. I'll leave feedback on what's been submitted so far.
Thanks again for your time and effort! Michael and I will be checking back here and giving feedback.
I'd like to contain the communication here for the benefit of everyone, but if you need to reach me feel free to email or call.
