The logo is for a conference. The conference is being run by a professional organisation called the Australian Society for Technical Communication: www.astcnsw.org.au

It is a non-profit organisation serving a community of technical communicators, such as technical writers.

The title of the conference is "emerging and evolving". It is about new technologies and techniques that are changing the way technical communicators work. The logo should reflect this theme.

The first letter "e" of each word "emerging and evolving" must be LOWER case and highlighted in some way. The idea is to suggest a connection to electronic communications like email, e-books, e-learning etc.

Promotional blurb for the conference:
"We live in a changing world. What does the future hold? What technologies and techniques do we need to be aware of? What challenges and opportunities do they present for our profession? What are the new ways of working? How must we equip ourselves for the future?"

  The logo will be used on websites and printed materials (flyers, badges, newsletters). It can be in colour but must look good when printed in black and white or miniaturised on badges. It can have a simplified version for black/white or for miniaturised applications.
  
  The logo will appear near the current logo for the organisation (see the website: www.astcnsw.org.au). The two logos can be quite different but should look attractive together.
