Brief de Design de Logo
'Kadhai', which means 'Wok' in which one deep fries, is an Indian fast food chain incorporated in the year 2010. This chain is currently 3 outlets old. Based in the city of Pune, INDIA - Kadhai plans to expand through out India by the year 2020. Consider this to be an Indian Mc. Donalds - Kadhai serves various Indian fast food items like Chaats, Chole Bature, Pav Bhaji, Paranthas, Dosas, etc. Apart from Indian, this chain also serves 'Indian Versions' of western food famous in India like Chinese (Noodles and Fried Rice) and Italian (Pizza + Pasta). This international food is served with an Indian twsit too. Kadhai is famous in Pune for its Jalebi, which is a sweet delicacy devoured by Indians. Apart from Jalebis, the company also produces various Indian sweets known as 'Mithai'. The competition for Kadhai comes from Haldirams and Bikano, none of which have branches in the city of Pune, where Kadhai is located. Kadhai is looking for a new logo which is in sync with international standards, yet in touch with Indian ethinicity. The old logo is too weak and lacks a presence. Moreover, it is also not condusive to be used across various media, especially lit signages due to its jagged edges and undefined appearance. Apart from the logo, the company uses a standard pattern which it uses as ambient graphics in its outlets as well as packaging. The company wishes to retain this. This graphic contains outlines of Jalebis and Mithais. The new logo has to be timeless, forward looking, strong and indo-international. Please go through the attached images carefully as these contain our competitors logos (again, poor logos), our in store images, existing logos, graphics and signage. You could google the food items mentioned above for a better understanding. Whether the logo should have a tagline or not is debatable. Also, should one mention major food categories under the logo is a question. For. E.g: Mc. Donalds does not write 'burgers & more' under the golden arches. Should we be doing it?
