Brief de Design Emballage

We are a board game publisher based in México. Our most recent project is Eldritch Century coming very soon to Kickstarter.

About Eldritch Century: which is an alternative XX century with cosmic horror and different events since 1918. The story takes place in 1984, Europe consumed by a fog which expands and corrupts/consumes everything. The world is divided in different superpowers now. About the design we need:
We need the front and back illustration for a 2-piece box with measures 30cm x 30cm x 10cm
For the visuals, we wish to have a minimalistic box that feels elegant. Instead of having a colorful action shot displayed in the cover.

The box should include the Game logo (Eldritch Century (Logo v2).png)

And the texture must display a dark swamp-like landscape with a lot of fog, mist (the miasma that consumed Europe; reference image). Dark silhouettes are visible in the fog; maybe plants, deteriorated European buildings or monsters (from the ones in the file Monsters.zip) IMPORTANT: The viewer should feel inside of the forest and the miasma, so he is not able to see the sky or the top of the trees. The monsters are near, far, to the sides, everywhere. Silhouettes can have different transparency levels to display this.

Include a lot of the fog! (Miasma)

The overall feel should be Mysterious, Horror, Macabre and Epic.
The predominant color for the box should be dark. Maybe black.

Attached is a file with references of minimalistic boxes we like, textures and examples for the illustrations of the game (References for box.jpg)

The bottom part should also include a similar illustration but not the same. (Display different silhouettes, etc). Please provide some frames with placeholder texts for the product description, images or similar.

For the sides, we are open to see suggestions, whether you decide it to be an extent of the cover illustration; fade to black or another color; or make its own illustration with the same texture.

After this stage, we desire to keep working with designers for other things we need. The layout designer will place all the information in the back of the box (Barcode, blurb, specs, company, etc)

This box is for a skirmish game with miniatures and people who enjoy stories, role playing games, and miniatures wargaming. We expect to launch the Kickstarter on July 17th.

• The fog and miasma in the texture.

• An elegant choice of the silhouettes, preferably in different poses than the files provided but still recognisable when the viewer sees the content and the silhouettes. Even new monstrous silohuettes are welcome and we might consider creating content for it.
• Maybe the color palette or style of the reference file.
