Brief de Design de Logo

We need a logo design for a new business opening in Rockwall, TX, a suburb of Dallas. We will be a beer and wine retail shop, have a deli counter, specialty groceries, and a cafe/bar. We will offer small plates, including cheese and charcuterie, raw oysters, salads, panini, pastries, and more. We are small, family owned restaurants in a small community, and want that to come across in our branding.

We are located in Rockwall's historic, downtown square. "Downing's" is the name of the shop. It is my husband's family's last name, who are long time locals.

Our decor will be "high desert"-Santa Fe/Palm Springs inspired. We will not be your grandfather's "mohagany wood and dark room" wine bar. We will have fun with color, light, and art work. We hope to let this come across in our logo. We do not have an exact color palette yet, as I was hoping for an artist to help us. But we like oranges, olive green, mustard yellow, light blue, turquoise, and red. Think of "modern Southwestern" colors and decor.

We would like a logo that can carry on with time. Nothing too trendy for today, that will look out of style in a few years. However, we are open minded, and not too traditional either.

• Geometric shape, symbolism for "community" or a welcoming feel, something that may be found in desert landscape (but not mountains--we are located in N. TX). Something that includes the feeling of coming together for the beauty of wine, beer, fine food, and good conversation. Desert inspired colors
• Go out on a creative limb. We want something bold, playful, and memorable.

• We dont want to focus on "wine" per se. Nothing that is centered around grape leaves or grape vines. Nothing that has been done for wine shops/bars already.
