Brief de Design de Logo

We need a logo for our start-up, 14 North Strategies. We're a west Africa based firm that equips our customers with insight and strategy to make decisions in the Sahel region of Africa. 14 North is significant, because it is the attitude line running through the countries in the Sahel region: Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Chad.

Last year you designed a logo for the same firm, when it was called "Sahel Frontiers" (attached). I absolutely LOVE this logo and the color choices. But it does not seem to match the 14 North name so well.

So could you come up with a new logo for us? When doing this, please play around with the old Sahel Frontiers logo to see if you can get something from that. But also come up with some new concepts.
