Thynne & Macartney is a Brisbane based, independent, commercial law firm that celebrated it's 120th anniversary in 2013. Our clients are based primarily in Queensland, but we have clients all over Australia and internationally as well. We were part of a national alliance of independent law firms that all had similar logos. This alliance dissolved as of 30 November 2013 and as such, we require a new logo. I have uploaded our current logo for your information. We are looking to move completely away from this style. In part because it is impractical, it is too long and shrinks badly.
We are happy to embrace our past but do not want to live in it. Due to the age of the firm, Thynne & Macartney is seen as being a bit old-fashioned. We would like to move away from this image and would like a modern, contemporary logo - but something that is timeless and won't date, at least not too quickly. Part of this modernisation is to replace the amphersand with a + symbol. Thynne + Macartney is very long, so we want to have the logo over 2 lines to make it easier to shrink. Our website is www.thymac.com.au

- We were looking at blue or a bright blue-based red (with black in both instances). Happy to look at options.
We would like to look at some conceptual / symbolic element with the text in place of the T+M or TM - maybe a stylised TM? Or not - it can be totally abstract.
We are looking at either T+M Thynne + Macartney or TM Thynne + Macartney
