Brief de Design de Logo
We need a logo for our initiative, Conservation Optimism (#conservationoptimism)
We aim to help motivate, inspire, educate, and empower people to improve conservation success around the world by infusing hope, optimism, and action into the stories we share about wildlife and wild places.
Our community is made of academics, practitioners, and wildlife enthusiasts from around the world, of all ages and backgrounds.
We would like to incorporate a variety of animal silhouettes (at least one terrestrial, marine, avian, and insect species), at least one (partial?) human silhouette, and some plant leaves, flowers, vines, or branches.
We would like the basic shape of the design to be an O for Optimism. (Or, alternately, the shape of a human.)
We would be open to other possibilities as long as it contains the wildlife/human/plant shapes. We particularly like the bear face logo we included as inspiration!
We would like the design to be equal height and width.
We would like the shapes to be different colours, but for it to work as a solid color silhouette as well when needed for different purposes.
We would like the logo to be flat, minimalist, and make good use of negative space.
It should feel optimistic and immediately connote the idea of interconnected nature.
Marché(s) Cible(s)
The logo will be used on our social media (http://twitter.com/conservoptimism, for example) and our website, as well as at conferences. We have a robust community of conservationists of all types: academics, field biologists, and people who don't work in conservation but support it through volunteering, community action, or donation!

Texte du logo
Conservation Optimism (logo doesn't have to incorporate the text, but will probably go below). We would like this to be hand-drawn in feeling, while still looking professiona. Your logo pitch does not have to include any text.

Doit avoir
- A variety of wildlife, some kind of representation of plants and humans. Hopeful colours and also the ability to use it as a solid black or solid white logo without losing the meaning. Sleek. Modern. Lots of circle-based shapes.
Bien d'avoir
- It would be nice for this to be as simple as possible, given the number of elements requested. The wildlife shapes, for example, should not be too "lifelike" but should be smooth and distilled to their simplest recognizable form. It would be nice if the animals were in different poses to help make the O shape (not all just standing on 4 feet, but maybe stretching, pouncing, reaching, hanging, cuddling, roaring, etc.) With the plants shapes and human to fill space as needed.
- Some preferred animals (but don't feel obliged to use):
- Saiga
- Frog
- Butterfly
- Stingray
- Pangolin
- Fox
- Hummingbird
- Asian elephant
- Panther
- Orca
Ne doit pas comporter
- Anything negative, anything too similar to top Conservation or Wildlife organizations, too much detail. Not cutesy or childlike. Not too abstract or impressionist. Not sketched-looking.
