We need an updated logo that can be scaled up and down for merchandise, letterheads, clothing, lanyards, keep cups that kind of thing. We would like bold colours and want something that is easily recognisable as a cactus or succulent, either from a side profile view or from a plan/top-down view. Other groups have used the classic western cactus image of the Carnegiea gigantea or saguaro cactus as it is easily recognised but we want something different. We were thinking of perhaps an Aloe, Agave, Echeveria, Senecio, Sedum species, something that is easily recognisable as a cactus/succulent but not the same boring image.
Essentially we are a Melbourne Australia based garden club, not for profit that just has a passion for cactus and succulent collection and care and we need a new logo. We don't have a set budget in mind but don't want to spend millions of dollars on a logo for a garden club.

Exigences
Doit avoir
- the letters "CSSA" somewhere in the logo, and an image of at least one or more cactus and/or succulent species that is easily recognised as such.
Bien d'avoir
- Agave, Aloe, Aeonium, Echeveria, Cereus, Cotyledon, Crassula, Senecio, Sedum, Euphorbia, Ferocactus, Gasteria, Haworthia, Sanseveria, just as some inspiration for appropriate species list. Really only need at least one species but you could have a few different ones if that looks better.
Ne doit pas comporter
- Should not look like a corporate image. In the past, we have bee given swirly images that do not actually represent anything and do not fit the brief. Please avoid the generic use of the Carnegiea gigantea or saguaro cactus that is used FAR TOO OFTEN to represent cactus/succulent plants or groups. We want to be different from the other groups. Also please AVOID AT ALL COSTS anything from the genus OPUNTIA as many species are banned for sale and we do not want to promote the sale of restricted species.
