Brief de Design de Logo

We are an experienced Real Estate company expanding to open our first office in Minnesota, and we are looking for a modern logo design for the new area. Your design will help us establish a presence and integrate into the greater Minneapolis and northern suburbs area.
The initial responses we have received have led us to a strong change in our direction.
Please think along the new lines of an abstract, simple design with possible elements of real estate. We have uploaded a compass logo that we think will work well if it can be produced.
Please feel free to propose your own creative ideas! The name shortened to the initials NPB is an idea as well, as we may occasionally choose to use just the initials version of the final logo. The goal is to create a simple icon that will be uniquely recognizable as ours alone no matter what color or variation we might employ.

The general style should be suitable for a professional organization, not a cartoony or over-exaggerated look. Please do not use clipart, all elements included in the submission must be original and creative, or well integrated and contiguous with the image. Submissions that look like clipart, generic vector art, piece mail, or anything overly low quality or cartoony will not be considered. Full color artwork is encouraged, with proposed 3 and/or 4-color alternatives appreciated on the side.
We will ask for the final art to be submitted in full color, monotone black, and in a layered file format where certain elements of the image can be removed or recolored according to the print and sign making requirements. Corel Draw, AI, or other similar file formats are welcome, in addition to the standard PNG and PDF formats.

Please feel free to ask questions. This is our 3rd project on DesignCrowd, so we are familiar with the process and really enjoy good communication with the artists. We will always try to respond to comments and questions as quickly as possible, but please be patient in case we can't get back to you right away. We also try to provide quick feedback on submitted designs, and log in frequently to check submissions.
