Brief de Design Illustration

We are a bar/restaurant in a small Colorado town. We primary serve the outdoors tourist industry - winter skiing, summer camping, hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, ATVing, horseback riding, rock climbing, rafting/kayaking, you name it - and being next to the state border, we also get a lot of marijuana tourists. We are also famous for our hot springs and for hot air ballooning festivals.

We need a line illustration that will primarily be displayed on the back of t-shirts. B/W only. We'd like a style reminiscent of old-school animation - slightly derivative is fine, as long as it doesn't look like Disney. Central focus of illustration is a man in a hammock, holding a beer (mug), with a slightly goofy/stoned smile on his face. We don't want any other overt marijuana references other than the Mild High Club and the expression on his face. One end of the hammock is supported by a pine tree, the other by a hot air balloon (if you can pull of the perspective). Behind the man in the hammock is a fence (we're The Backyard). Propped on the fence are various outdoors equipment - rifles, fishing poles, skis, backpacks, bikes, etc. Behind the fence is the mountains. Would love to incorporate a winding road if possible with the Road Sign saying HWY 160 and graffiti underneath saying "BEER RUN". Would also love to incorporate some rendition of the Hot Springs if possible - they actually come up from the San Juan River - a shallow river that would be nice to be featured We understand the illustration could quickly become overly busy - not every outdoor activity is required to be represented.

At least a portion of the illustration (the part featuring the man and his contented/stoned smile) will likely also be printed on pint glasses for serving beer with the words "Permanent Happy Hour," but please do not submit any hand lettering. That is to give you more an idea of the feeling we are trying to convey. Pagosa is a vacation town, where you can let your troubles float away.
