Brief de Design Illustration

I wrote a kids book with 1 main character, Gideon the Goat. It will be 13 scenes spread out over 26 pages. So when you open the book the image will be fluid/continuous from page 1 to 2 and then 3 and 4 will be it's own illustration etc.

The first 2 pages will be blank with the book dedication.

I also need the book cover designed.

In order not to waste anyone's time, feel free to submit 1 illustration from the options below and I'll choose based on that and then if I choose you you can design the rest at that time.

Man he could climb
But mom said that was too dangerous
Wouldn't he rather rhyme?

Poems were cool but not for him
Adventure was what he was looking for
Even if the prospects were grim

He dreamt of something bigger
Something huge something tall

So off he went
In search of a thrill
Promising mom to be safe
That was part of the deal

But he made it safe and sound
He was ready to embark
But then his heart started to pound

Climbing to the top
The trip took one week
And they had lots of stops

At times they thought it would be too hard
But they didn't turn back
They had come too far

They were almost there
A blizzard was starting but they didn't care

And all of their might
They made it! They made it!
And just before night

But oh so proud
They camped out under the stars
And slept in the clouds

And he didn't fail
He couldn't wait to get home
And tell mom all of his tales!

Target audience:
Kids 1-5 years old

Design requests:
Since the book is about climbing Everest, if you add any people, animals etc I'd like it to be somewhat accurate as far as what people/animals look like.

I prefer more of a hand drawn look as opposed to a super computer generated look.

Similar to the style of the classic Frog and Toad books. I'll attach an example of goat I like, also of the Frog and Toad book in referencing.


*I intend to publish this independently via createspace on amazon and will include your name how you wish it to appear as illustrator as well as give you the opportunity to dedicate the book to someone if you would like. I will not use these images for anything other than this book

**I know this is not the biggest budget but it's a fun project I'm trying to do with my 2 year old son and intend to save any profits from the book for him to go to college. Thank you!
