Brief de Design de Logo

Hello designers!

We need a logo, and are excited about what you can come up with for a company that produces nutritious marine oil from algae. We are proud to be a a clean and sustainable supplier of feed to the fish farming industry, which is a major selling point for us. The company name is "Esca Verno" and means literally "food spring".

The potential of algae is not limited to just fish feed, "food" is the crucial concept here. Algae will play a major role in global food production in the future, and we need something that works well for a broad producer of protein from algae. The company name needs to be part of the logo, but it may still be text + emblem if the emblem is good and works well as a stand alone symbol.

The logo needs to be clear and uncluttered like an industry logo, and should not be an explosion of colors. A simple theme and a clear message is what we're looking for.

UPDATE: Regarding the concept of "food". We mean this in the abstract, we make oil from algae rich in fat and protein, not food as such. It's a paste or oily substance to be further refined into food, we need the logo to communicate "food" as in "healthy and nutritious". So no restaurant designs, forks or other dining-related symbols please, thank you.

UPDATE: It seems that just text doesn't work too well for us, so we're going to need an emblem to go with it. Text can still be embedded in the emblem, but just text seems to lack the power of association that we're looking for.

• Please don't use any gaudy colors, rainbows, Gaia symbols or unicorns, I'm looking for a conservative way of displaying our values as food producers, not environmentalists. The logo should NOT have fish or waves or any such generic symbols that don't specifically relate to our values or company name.
