Brief de Design Illustration
I am looking for a LinkedIn banner for my personal account. I am
a compiler writer, meaning I am a software engineer who develops
compilers. For historical reasons compiler construction is
visually associated with dragons. This is because one of the most
popular compiler books has a dragon on its cover and so is
informally called the Dragon Book. Some more background

So the idea with the banner is that it could be a professional,
elegant and nice-looking drawing that can work as a background
image and somehow refer to dragons. I think that simply
depicting a dragon would look too straightforward and thus not
very interesting, and also may not work well as a background
picture for my photo. So I'm thinking of a picture that contains
some visual elements directly associated with dragons; something
not very shouting, but expressive.
The banner should express power, confidence and elegance. It
shouldn't cause any aggressive or unpleasant feelings.
Please make sure that your design have the right size, which is
1584x396 pixels.
As to colours, lighter ones are preferred. Probably bluish would
do best. Please take a look at the default LinkedIn banner to
get an idea on what kind of bluish that could be.
Things that may be worth to try:
* Facets designs that make the "digital" and "abstract" impression
* Dragon shapes
After looking through some stock works, it seems dragons on top
of real photos don't do the job for the project. And abstract works
seem to fit best.
It seems the common tendency with the proposed designs is
to make them look "technical" by adding digits, using gradients,
etc. In contrast, what I'm looking for is something more "artistic",
abstract and expressive.
