Brief de Design de Logo

We are a couple of specialist medical practitioners in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, Australia. We currently perform minimally invasive, image guided procedures to treat patient with a range of medical problems related to veins and arteries.

We are opening a new clinic targeting the most common vein problem, namely varicose veins, offering walk in walk out, minimally invasive treatments for varicose veins that are as or more effective than traditional surgery.

The clinics will be called "Vein Specialists" and will be targeting customer who have varicose veins, which can cause them either discomfort or cosmetic concerns. Our angle is mostly that we can treat their problem with minimal downtime and without incisions or significant post procedure pain like traditional surgery.

We would like a logo, and business cards that reflect the nature of our clinic, that we are specialist medical doctors, that we perform targeted therapies with image guidance (like ultrasound or xray) and that our procedures are well tolerated and minimally invasive. The target audience is more female and sometimes appearance oriented as there is overlap with cosmetic procedures for those who are concerned about the unsightly look of their veins.

I was thinking of incorporating blue into the logo as it has calming effects and is associated with veins. I also like black as it lends a premium feel so black enough to feel premium/luxury but not so much as to appear heavy or dark. Maybe some element of "flow" could be considered in the logo (eg blood flow and motion of healthy normal movement).

This will eventually become a small network of clinics offering more that just veins so nothing too specific. My recent research suggests that using images of body parts or anatomic drawings is fairly dated for medical logos now, so I would prefer to avoid that approach. I have attached some examples from similar clinics but these are not necessarily the type of logo that we want so please think broadly.

The final design should convey:
- medical specialists doctors,
- veins/arteries/flow,
- targeted/image guided treatment "visionary medicine)
- minimally invasive (keyhole type) approaches

...to an appearance conscious, mostly predominantly female audience.
