Brief de Design de Logo

We need a logo design / brand identity for a relatively new business software company based on the UK called "Big Red Eye".

We provide software solutions to businesses based upon our in-house data management platform, including:
1) Intranets (content management)
2) Membership portals
3) Marketing asset management
4) Document management
5) Web-to-print
6) CRM
7) Data analysis and reporting

We also provide professional services to our clients to customise our platform, and develop bespoke functionality as required (for example integrating with other software systems).

Our clients including:
1) Technology companies
2) Government agencies
3) Retailers

We need something reasonably corporate and very professional, but not too formal or traditional.

As an idea, some much larger companies/competitors that we frequently encounter are:
- Accenture (http://www.accenture.com/)
- Capita (http://www.capita.co.uk/)
- Steria (http://www.steria.com/uk/)

It would be logical that we use the colour red in there, but it would also be nice if we have some kind of motif or symbol that can be used in a variety of colours to represent different sectors we work in or different solutions we provide.

Our existing logo can be found here (http://www.bigredeye.com/) - we do not need or wish to retain any aspect of this logo.

The branding will be used online and all print media.

Example business card will contain the following information:
1) Contact's name
2) Company name (Big Red Eye Ltd)
3) Office phone number
4) Mobile phone number
5) Email address
6) Website URL

We would also be interested in any logo ideas that utilise the initials "BRE" in place of Big Red Eye...
