Brief de Web Design

I am a start up business looking for a logo design and a website. Golden Valley Doodles is a breeder of goldendoodles and labradoodles for home and sport. We have a strong emphasis on hunting lines within our dogs and strive to breed healthy companions for the field and the home. These dogs are a cross between golden retrievers and poodles or Labrador retrievers and poodles (some multigenerational) and possess a strong hunt drive along with the desire to please. Some people can't tolerate shedding and dander, whether due to allergies or personal preference. That's one of the things that makes these dogs so versatile - they are all low to nonshedding and allergy friendly for most people. Combine that with the intelligence, loyalty, need to please, temperament and athletic ability, and you have an amazing pet. We are marketing to people that want a nonshedding pet, and also to people who want a hunting companion. It is important to reach both groups of buyers, but not to lean too much toward either one. (The dogs flush and retrieve for bird hunters - pheasant, dove, quail, duck, etc.) They are raised, bred and trained on our small farm in Golden Valley County, Beach North Dakota, where they have lots of room to run, exercise and train in the prairie lands. The term "adopt" a puppy is preferred over "buy" a puppy.

I have purchased the web address with a wordpress platform through go daddy.com. I started the website using one of their templates but wasn't pleased with it - need something far more professional than I'm capable of putting together. I will need help publishing the site and brief instructions on how to change and update when I have litters for adoption. I have quite a bit of content (text) and photos put together to give an idea of what we'd like it to say....feel free to edit away! I am no writer by any means, but it will share the business concept at least.

My "style" isn't really defined for a web design, but I can tell you what I like based on how I decorate my home: I love rustic mixed with dressy/contemporary, to offset all the rough edges, if that's any help. Think pallet wood walls with a crystal chandelier. I use lots of wood, plants, and repurpose old stuff for new uses. Natural, organic, texture.
