Brief de Design de T-shirt

Children's martial arts school (American Martial Arts Academy) looking for new tee shirt design for 2018. Color of the design doesn't matter, however the color of the tee will NOT be white. I would like the shirt to be modern, not childish (no cartoon characters) be appropriate for boys and girls (our school is 65% to 35%, boys to girls) Japanese characters (kanji) and not necessary but are fine if they add to the aesthetics of the design.
