Travel Impressions, headquartered in Farmingdale, NY, is one of the premier leisure travel wholesalers in the industry and is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc. Founded in 1974, Travel Impressions provides leisure vacation packages to 150 destinations and more than 2,000 resorts and hotels in the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America, Europe, the Eastern Mediterranean, Dubai, South Africa, the Islands of Tahiti, Canada, Hawaii and the Continental U.S. In December, the company will add the new destinations of Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.
In 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008, Travel Impressions was the recipient of Travel Weekly’s Readers Choice award for “Best Tour Operator, Sales & Service” and also for “Best Domestic Tour Operator” for 2006, 2007 and 2008. The company has been recognized in each of the past four years as an “Editor’s Pick” by TravelAge West – first in 2006 as “Best Tour Operator Website, designed specifically for travel agents,” in 2007, 2008 and 2009 as “Best Tour Operator, Mexico,” and also in 2009 for having the “Most Knowledgeable Reservations Staff.” AAA named Travel Impressions its “2008 Tour Partner of the Year” and “Best in Technology,” and the company recently received MailPound’s Agent Choice Award for “Most Agent Friendly Tour Operator” and Performance Media Group’s Agent Choice Award for “Best Overall Tour Operator.”
