Hello, my name is Brad. Thanks for considering taking on this job!

We are seeking a great designer to take on this task and really make it their own - for this reason we have guaranteed this contest to encourage investment of your effort and time as professionals.

I'm very open minded, and will do all I can to offer thoughtful and timely feedback to all applicants.

If your entry is what we are looking for there is great potential for further work to come from your success, with business cards, stationary and other graphic work being required for commencement of the business and also ongoing.

JOB:
I want people to look at this logo and have an idea of what we do, and feel something about the program and brand.

Logo design for a new element of an existing business - should project confidence, strength, dynamicism, trust.

BACK STORY:
Bulletproof Puppies is a premium quality intensive in-person (and later online) puppy training and development course during the pup's earliest life from 8-18wks of age, for dogs of all breeds (mostly pet dogs)...but doesn't involve teaching the puppies to bite.

We operate out of a dedicated indoor training facility and provide an industry leading service with many unique points.

'Bulletproof' is about that puppy being able to take anything that life throws at it in it's stride, and to work, think, function beyond that. it's designed to prepare and propel puppies into the rest of their life to become competent, capable, confident adults.

This program requires a much greater investment of time and effort from the puppy owners during that early period. It's not for lazy or uncommitted owners - it's for those that want to do more, and make more of their dogs future.

Leveraging techniques and concepts involved in raising high end law enforcement and sporting dogs, Bulletproof Puppies allows owners of all types of puppies to produce pups that will be the most highly trainable, durable, adaptable and mentally flexible versions of themselves possible.

TEXT:
For now we are going with 'Bulletproof Puppies'. This element WILL NOT CHANGE.

We may choose to add a byline later in the process, and in consultation with the designers that are part of the final group.

IDEAS:
- Shield shape (not too strong), aim point, or other 'tribute/s' to strength, and the law enforcement type background of some of the program elements

- Hand drawn mascot based off our own pup, Snap (see FB page)

- Dynamic puppies, or multiple puppies

- I love GOOD graffiti art: whilst I don't want my logo unreadable I do love the characters that you see in such art.

IMAGES PROVIDED:
The 'FANG' image provided is a great example of what is strongly disliked in terms of style, and we consider this a 'clipart' style image. Entries using this type of image, or this exact image, will not be considered.

Other photos have been included to show the style of body language that is preferred, in that the dogs have erect ears and appear happy and confident.

You may choose to consider another image altogether, which is fine with us.

COLOURS:
Included is the business colours for sake of reference. Black is also acceptable in the design.

We are trying to remain flexible and not overly inhibit your creativity. If there is a good design reason that you feel we should not proceed with these colours then please be sure to share your reasoning with your submission.

Prominence of a pup in the logo may be subtle, it may be significant. I am not creative so I am very open minded.

The logo will have to embroidered in some way onto uniforms, so stitching pattern may require some modification. Consideration of this and/or provision of an appropriate file highly favoured.

Many potentially relevant images can be seen by google searching "Malinois puppy athletic".

These are people that own all breeds of dogs from Chihuahuas to Great Danes, cross bred dogs, etc.

These are people that are prepared to take on a volume of work that is beyond what normal dog owners will commit to due to the nature of the program. They are extraordinary dog owners.

• Project and inspire confidence in the B.P. brand;
• Must tell the observer something powerful about what we do, or what B.P. is about at a glance;
• Look like it belongs to a high level product of great worth;
• If it needs to depart from the palette in the existing logo (attached) there must be a good creative reason to do so. Share your reasoning in the job comments and let me know!
• If you're going to use a puppy image in the design it should be clear that it is a puppy, and not some fox or other small animal.
