Brief de Design de Logo

Although i already have a company logo,i'm not happy with it because of the dismal colour arrangement and paticulary the wording directly below the picture of the Greyhound running dog...i feel this text is not dynamic enough for the breed.To view image,go to : www.greyhoundcoatcompany.com
A brand new logo is required as the website is going to be heavily revamped this Spring.
Criteria:
The website where the logo will appear is going to have a black background.So colour of images/text probably need to be yellow,silver,red or a combination of these colours.It's not important to incorporate a greyhound coat in the design...in fact don't,however,
a image of a running Greyhound is paramount,as this conveys the message of speed .The dog doesn't necessarily need to be full in size either ; perhaps just half a dog ? When drawing this breed of dog be sure to get the physical shape in perspective,especially the 'Wedge' shaped head and pointed nose.The Greyhound bus logo of a greyhound is shocking...it looks like a mongrel because they got the design of body wrong...so beware.
The company wording (greyhound coat company) as i've said needs to be more potent..active,energizing,a force in actual operation is what i'm looking for.The colour of text needs to match the colour of the dog image.
Some ideas i like :
From this website : www.greyhoundstar.net there is a picture of a greyhound leaving a star shape,which of course tallys with the name of the publication.Maybe something like this could be included into the 'O' of the word 'Coat' from the company name...just a suggestion.
