Brief de Design de Logo

im outgrowing the company i work for,they are old school and traditional, i have started a large online presence and social media advertising, i study a lot and are the best marketer and negotiator in my field in my area. My market is x y generation, i need something relevant sharp simple and to the point, most of my market see me on mobile device. I wear a black suit white shirt and usually a tie with red in it.
my current logo was done by a social media company, i don't mind the representation of brick but i don't love the font or lay out. My logo must work on line on portable devices as well as translate to signage effectively.
David Jones is very closely associated with a large department store here in Australia, they have a simple black and white logo which i love, i'm sure their copy write lawyers would get anxious if we got too close to their design. Something with the brick pattern similar to theirs would look cool. i have uploaded their logo as well .
