Brief de Design de Logo

I am a small land surveying company starting up in the area of Newcastle which is north of Sydney, Australia. I have prepared draft logo designs in word documents (attached). My web designer now requires them to be tweaked a bit for adding to photo's etc. She said that it "needs to be a vector graphic in illustrator or similar to look sharp when scaled up and down and as it is currently I can't give it a transparent background. Having a version done as a png file with a transparent background would enable me to sit the logo over an image and look professional." The colours in the CLS logo part are to represent the landscape in that the tree (L) in the middle is brown with the C & S being blue to represent curving creeks/rivers on a background of green grass. As a Surveyer I often work outside in these environments so I would like them reflected for that reason. As outlined above, scaling up & down & transparency capabilities are important but other ideas would be considered too. Thanks.
