We are Lola and Mawu – start-up ethical boutique of African décor based in London.
Our products are sourced in West Africa or created by Lola (the founder) in collaboration with African artisans. We emphasize our ethical approach to business and attention to sustainability.
Our products are a fusion of the best that Africa has to offer: intricate crafts, excellent materials, real African spirit, and contemporary style.

• • We want it to include our name in sans serif font, can be either “&” or “and”
• • We would love our logo to communicate the handcrafted nature of products, but at the same time their high quality and exclusivity.
• • All our goods are very rich in texture, or in colour, or both, that’s why we want our logo/website to be very reserved in colour
• • We would love the logo to include a geometrical symbol

Bien d'avoir

• We are crazy about mudcloth and it’s patterns (find attached the selection of designs), maybe you can incorporate them into the logo
• Or:
• The second name in our brand is of Mawu, a creator goddess, associated with the sun and moon in Dahomey mythology. Will be interesting to play with that also
• • Apart from the website our logo will be also used on all our branding materials, made of card, wood, fabric and metal, please, consider that

• We want the logo to convey ethnic spirit, but we don’t want anything “too African”: no African continent shape, giraffes, drums etc.
