Brief de Web Design
We are re-branding our website, starting with the logo which has now been done (see uploaded files).
Our website sells coffee and coffee-related products and accessories, with the vast majority of products not available in the supermarket or coffee shop - these brands are known, just not widely available in the UK. Our customers either know the product or brand because they have tried it somewhere (abroad), know of it (for example, if they are Italian) or they want to try something different.
The website has to be clean and simple (currently it is too cluttered) and make it easy to promote products. At the same time, not too simple that it looks cheap. Of course we don't claim to be anything like these, but to give you an idea, this is what we mean by clean, simple, professional ecommerce:
- http://www.deandeluca.com
Currently we are only looking for the design work - development can be discussed at a later date if you like.
Please take any assets such as images, text, etc. from our current website.
If you require any further information, please do ask. We would like to see the home page, category page and product page.
Many thanks,
Updates
Hi, we've seen some great designs so far - it will help to also see some product pages. Thanks.

Marché(s) Cible(s)
Predominantly men and women between 35 and 60, descent income who enjoy good quality food and drink. The majority know their coffee, and are fussy about the coffee they drink.

Exigences
Doit avoir
- Font - modern and maybe different, like Open Sans, Bree, Source Sans Pro.
- Strips/boxes where we can promote free delivery over £60, our loyalty points, quick turnaround, etc. Look at the top of our current website http://www.espressodrinker.co.uk or underneath the menu bar of http://www.37south.co.uk (we like this simplicity and cleanliness by the way).
- Sorry if the following sounds obvious, but just to clarify, we would need the home page to have following (always following the route of cleanliness and simplicity...):
- - Menu//navigation bar
- - Search box
- - Telephone number
- - SSL seal (see side of current website)
- - Payment methods (we don't need all the card logos to be shown, just some sort of reference to PayPal, Google and Credit/Debit Cards)
- - Social media icons for Facebook, twitter, youtube, Instagram, google+ and Pinterest
- - Selected products on the home page like we currently have under the HOT PRODUCTS section (see below, as we are looking to change this title to NEW ARRIVALS).
- - Coupon request by email box as per current site
- - Product rating icons (currently stars, but these can be unique/different)
- - Paragraph(s) of text for around 200 words
- - Cart value icon (have a look at http:.//www.mykimbo.co.uk and see the red circle)
- - Carousel
- For the product page, the page must feature:
- - Product Title, quantity box, price, add to cart, availability, item reviews, product description (between 100 and 200 words, in paragraph and bullet points)
- - Product options (size, colour)
- - Social media share icons (Facebook, twitter and Pinterest only)
- - Cross selling (Similar items)
- - Up-selling (buy these 2 items together and save xx%)
- - One this we will be adding is filtering by attribute, so for example, http://www.tmlewin.co.uk/All-Suits/Mens-Suit-Bundles,en_GB,sc.html where you can select colour, size, etc.
Bien d'avoir
- If you can make it work, we'd like a NEW ARRIVALS/NEWEST PRODUCTS/JUST IN products area (on our current site we have HOT PRODUCTS for example).
- We want to promote the brands we sell by showing the logos, such as http://www.nextdaycoffee.co.uk (but not scrolling).
- Our strategy includes creating videos for some products, so somewhere on the product page we would like to have a YouTube video embedded.
