Brief de Design de Logo

I need a logo for a company that is in transition. Currently, I run a travel and culture blog called Not Your Average American. The blog will transition into a business that connects South American tourism with North American tourists.

The idea is to provide consulting to small businesses and community tourism operations in South America, serving as a bridge to help them market to English-speaking tourists. We will retain the blog and hire more writers, expanding our current Ecuador focus country by country.

The name Not Your Average American comes from my family often being told that we don't act like normal Americans. After living several years in South America, we began to realize that America refers to more than the United States and believe that the word American should include both continents, not just one. Our stories reflect the unique nature of what it means to be American in both continents.

Currently, my website uses the font Lora (for tradition) and Shadows Into Light (a sense of playfulness). I have been using a simple two-color logo that can easily be used across multiple social media networks. I use a black and white logo on the website and change the colors to match the mood on Twitter and Facebook. I also use my small square logo as a watermark on my professional photography. I am not afraid of color but want to avoid connections with a single nation's flag.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: I would like one more weekend to give some of you more time to work on this design. What I like best in the projects submitted: The inclusion of the Andean sun - the alternating flames straight and curved flames of the sun are very South American. The inclusion of the North and South America - it makes it easier to see that we do business across the Americas. The combination of a relaxed font like Shadows Into Light with a serious font like Lora - the combinations shows that we love fun while we have a strong foundation. Keeping the words Not Your Average together as a single graphic element while highlighting the word American. What I like a lot but have not seen well-integrated: The long-tailed hummingbird - a very South American bird that tourists are always excited to see Mountains Water I have several designers who have said they have designs to submit and look forward to seeing what appears in the next few days.
