We need a logo for our new online food & drink website, 'World of Dining'. The website will exhibit restaurants in a visually exciting way, alongside articles and video content from industry leading chefs. Site visitors will be able to leave restaurant reviews, discover new dining experiences and book tables directly through the platform.
The vision we have for the overall feel of the site, branding: including entrance videos for youtube videos is to create our own 3D world as seen in the MP4 clip attached below. Imagine a mini earth, with famous landmarks and cities from around the world protruding from the world which users can explore.
I'm conscious that for a logo incorporating this style will probably make it too complicated, so we'd be open to creating something more simple, so would be open to hearing your thoughts on this. I've attached a couple of ideas like the round logo with Saturn in below, although for our purposes we would have to make this the earth instead of Saturn. We also like the style of font Lonely Planet use, as seen in the attached files. We want to avoid cliches like knives and forks, chefs hats etc...

One of the most important aspects of World of Dining will be our social media community. The breakdown for our current target audience on these platforms is:
Gender: 52% Male - 48% Female (this does vary to be 50% 50% at times)
Age Ranges: 25 - 35 followers is almost double 18 -24 and 35-44 age ranges with 45-54 quite far behind.
Geographical locations are large urban cities such as New York, London, Melbourne and Dubai.
We want the logo to appeal to these target segments. Modern, conveying the glamorous and high end lifestyle that can come from food and traveling to this foodie locations.

- Some element of the logo should be strong enough to stand alone as a logo for social media accounts etc. For example if you decide to make the logo WOD, perhaps the O could be used as a stand alone logo as well.
Bien d'avoir
- We'd like the colour scheme to be flexible between different bright bold colours. This could come in useful if for example during winter we could change the colour to a blue, autumn it could be a warmer colour etc.
