Brief de Design de Logo

The logo is for an IT team. "DevTools" is short for Development Tools, and the team provides and maintains the software tools that many groups of developers use. The team is youngish, professional, highly technical, and mostly male. The logo will be used on team items, e-mails, and Web pages. Ideally, the logo would reflect their pride in themselves and in the quality of their work, and would be a team "brand."

I'm going into this with no preconceptions, no ideas. It's one of those "I'll know it when I see it" things. I'm thinking that at its best, the logo should say high tech, professional, and fun/playful.

I foresee the logo being used on a variety of media, so it needs to be scalable and simple enough that the detail isn't lost when it's scaled down.
